What is Continuing Tango?
A lesson using the basic principles of tango to develop your dance:
-
walking and its variations
-
the embrace
-
communication between the couple
-
technique to support dancing
Who
should come?
The class is aimed elementary and intermediate dancers, however all levels
of dancer are welcome and will benefit. The principles taught, and the
development of physical awareness within the context of a social dance,
make it equally suitable for all dancers from beginner to advanced.
How is
it structured?
The class is two hours. The warm up develops balance,
co-ordination and physical awareness. Following the warm up the class
concentrates on developing the feeling of dancing, techniques and
elements to improve the dancer's vocabulary and fluency.
Why
should I come?
Develop your dance in a challenging but friendly environment. Use the
possibility of dancing with more experienced dancers by staying to the
Practica. If you are an experienced dancer, the opportunity of dancing
with less experienced dancers will help you to develop sensitivity to
your partner's dance ability and temperament.
